In response to the Railway Elevation Project, we will create the image of Chiayi Station as the entrance. To the west, it connects the two parks (Youzhong Park, Fanzigou Park), Chiayi Art Museum and G9 Creative Park. To the east, it links Forestry Culture Park, Main Library, and Chiayi Old Prison Dormitories. We strive for tourism and business prosperity by opening up through environment reconstruction and creating new life of culture with diversity, equity and inclusion.
We fetch a turquoise ribbon and put it onto the sewing machine, stitching it with the greenery of parks carefully. Here we add a patch of culture in brick red, and there we sew the pattern of trees.
Rotated, the ribbon is sewn with the canvas of artists and continues to the wrinkles left by the history.
Railway-liked stitches stayed on the land of Chiayi City to put the city altogether tightly.

Spotlight 1: Green Landscape, Environment Reconstruction
Green Corridor of Arts & Culture: Connection for green areas of Fanzigou Park and Youzhong Park to form a green corridor of arts and culture by linking G9 Creative Park and Chiayi Art Museum.
Urban recreational space: Water quality improvement and water bank development for the drainage of the north main line and the Weixin branch line. Connecting Beisianhu Park, Chiayi Park and Lantan, and revitalizing Linsen Campus of National Chiayi University to create a large-scale urban recreational area.

Spotlight 2: Culture Inclusion to Open Up
Big Station Project: Reshaping the image for Chiayi Station by organizing advertising signs in the front of the station and creating a clean and passenger-waiting space as well as comfortable sidewalks. Transforming the old station into a municipal historic relic.
Connection to culture of the Forest Railway: Diminishing the boundary of Forest Railway Garage Park to integrating with the city and to combine it with the history of forestry culture.
Landscape construction of Chiayi Old Prison: Renovation of Chiayi Old Prison’s surroundings and establishment of a pedestrian-friendly environment. Enriching the dormitories to build a base of placemaking.

Spotlight 3: People-oriented and Friendly Transmission
People-oriented routes of tourism: Enhancing the continuity of walkability and biking to plan friendly people-oriented routes of tourism.
Public transportation: Improving the current traffic conditions by coordinating with public transport systems to connect tourist destinations around the whole city.

Spotlight 4: New Area of Prosperity with Increased Energy
Regional integration: Connecting the Forestry Culture Park BOT (including the old fish market and the old fruit and vegetable market), Chiayi Municipal Museum, and Chiayi Municipal Culture Center. Extending to Beimen Station and Lishin Hotel to integrate the areas on both sides of the railway.
Education spaces: Integrating the main library, Pei Shin Junior High School, and Linsen Campus of National Chiayi University to create a large-scale reading and learning space as a new educational area.
