New Life from Old City

We keep the old city alive by opening Chiayi Art Museum and holding Taiwan Design Expo. “Innovation” and “Experience” as the core values, we will introduce entrepreneurial teams of young people and other teams for street redesign and neighborhood redesign design teams. West Market and Xinzhong Police Station will be transformed into the base for people aspiring to start a business. We will revitalize old spaces of the city to attract young people to return for business. Value for the journey of culture will be created with the foundation of the city’s rich history to develop its own style and economy. We infuse the new and old for the prosperity.

The trend of the future has been decided. “Old” is the charm of new things: old houses in new clothes, old markets with new ideas and old beliefs with new faiths. Young people gather to brainstorm ideas of new tricks on old streets and fresh liquor in old bottles. We gather here with modern operation names to feel old stories from new perspectives to drive the energy of Chiayi’s charms.
